Performance
At the intersection of climate change, aging, and parenthood, HOT WALK explores both the pain of transformation and its healing qualities. It is a performance in the form of several conversations (in English) between two women about heat. While conversing, the two women walk on treadmills, surrounded by images of a picturesque park landscape, which they seem to be traveling through. Meandering from aging and the warming of the female body as fertility declines, their conversation wanders to diverse manifestations of global warming, and other "hot" topics such as desire, anger, and motherhood.
Speech, dance and setting
As the audience, we witness a blend of dry humor and disquieting interaction through conversation, movement, voice work and gestures in a simulated outdoor space. The dialogue unfolds in five cycles, interspersed with intervals where dance steadily assumes a more central role. The choreography of voice and body is meticulously crafted, rich in rhythm, musicality, diction, and articulation. This creates an impression of a lively, spontaneous exchange between the women—yet one that remains fully artificial, reflecting the manicured perfection and controlled aesthetics of the park. Gradually, speech, movement, and staging merge: walking becomes dancing, speech turns to song, and the park transforms into other realms. A gateway opens to a future beyond our current imagination.
